We are Iron Shepherds Living History and we bring the past into the present through unique living history displays and demonstrations.
We are from the Furness peninsular of Cumbria, not far from the Lake District, and have performed at events across Cumbria and beyond.
We are a multi period group who have dabbled in various periods over time, but our main areas of interest are the Anglo-Norman period and the Victorian Era.
Through our Anglo-Norman displays we educate and entertain through demonstrating crafts, weaponry and farming of the 12th Century.
We have a Camp ready and waiting to be set up at any event. Our specially written weapons display lies in wait alongside kids combat - yes, we go against the kids and yes, we always get beaten up!
Our Victorian displays vary from the gentile fun and games to the harder social aspects of lower class society. Each display aiming to transport visitors back in time some 150-200 years.
This is our hobby. History is what we love and sharing that passion with the general public by passing on information and entertaining is what we thrive on.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and the current restrictions all of our own events and ones we planned to attend are on hold or cancelled.
We hope that later in the year we will be able to attend and host some events, but for now everyone's health is the most important thing.
We hope you all are keeping safe and well. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
