Another excellent day at Furness Abbey

On September 2nd September we attended the Medieval Fair at Furness Abbey and entertained a thousand plus visitors in glorious sunshine.

This was our fifth year at the Medieval Fair by Furness Abbey Fellowship; we were there from its inception back in 2013 and have been there ever since. This year we had our medieval camp set up in front of the glorious backdrop of the abbey ruins and it was the best we have ever looked.

We displayed crafts from the time, from woodturning to net-making and showcased life in the middle ages. There were just over 1,300 visitors over the course of the day who all wandered our camp and watched our weapons display alongside the other entertainments.

It was a wonderful day and we were so pleased to have formed the focal point of the event!
